DOORSTEP recycling has been extended to an extra 15,000 homes in west Wiltshire this week. Fortnightly collections of newspapers and magazines for Bradford on Avon, Westbury and north Warminster began on Monday.
All the homes are receiving instruction leaflets with the dates for the pick up and what can be left in the recycling boxes.
Cllr Richard Wiltshire, the District Council's environmental services portfolio holder, said: "I hope that people in Bradford on Avon, Westbury and Warminster embrace this new scheme.
"Although we can only collect paper at the present time, it is our intention to bring the kerbside box system into these areas as soon as funding is available."
Households can find out their individual date for collection by calling a recycling hotline on 0870 242 7596.
