Wroughton win to boost title hopes

Swindon 1 are odds on to win Division 1 of the Indoor Cricket League after a comprehensive three-wicket win over Wroughton 1.

It is much tighter affair in Division 2 though, with Wootton Bassett's decisive four-wicket defeat of Litten Tree strengthened their position considerably.

Litten Tree could only muster 66 despite Phill Tonks' 27.

Nalgo 1 remain third after winning by 32 runs against Chameleon. Joe Lovegrove made 38 and Shaz Khan 34 as Nalgo posted 118, a total which Chameleon never threatened despite Paul Kurnyta's unbeaten 27. Ramsbury did their chances in Division 3 no harm with a five-wicket thrashing of Highworth. Vijay top scored with 27 as Highworth were bowled out for 90.

Ajay Kumar repled with an unbeaten 27 as Ramsbury sprinted home with three overs to spare. Swindon 2 remain in contention for promotion with a 39-run victory over South West, who look favourites for relegation.

Last man Danny Willis saved the day with an unbeaten 45 as Swindon totalled 120-5.

Swindon then conceded an amazing 40 extras but still South West could muster only 81-4.

New Generation are in poll position in Division 4 after thumping bottom-of-the-table Woodlands by 41 runs. Barry Sellars made 28 as New Generation made 105-5.
