Swindonians are invited to join members of Kemble's Royal British Legion Women's Section to celebrate their 60th anniversary next month.
The Kemble branch is to mark six decades of helping service families and the congregation, expected to number about 100, will assemble at the village's war memorial in Limes Road at 2.30pm on March 14.
Following a service at All Saints' Church at 3pm there will be a parade to the village hall for tea.
The town crier will introduce various speeches before comedian, poet and storyteller Bob Jones kicks off the entertainment.
Branch secretary Pat Ayres said: "After 60 years of service-not-self, the branch owes itself this time of thanks and recognition for all the dedicated and valuable work of past and present members.
"Over the years they have helped those who have served their country and, for as long as there are wars, there will be a need for the British Legion's Women's Section."
