BIDDESTONE Town returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 4-0 win at home to Melksham Town Reserves in the Premier Division.
In the last few months Gary Skidmore has seen his side fall away from the championship race but the Biddestone manager hopes Saturday's win will be the start of another good run.
Before Saturday Biddestone had only won one match in their last eight but Skidmore is hopeful his side have now turned the corner.
He said: "Recently I have been going on about the team's performance and that was more like it on Saturday.
"It was a throw back to how we were playing at the start of the season.
"That was as well as we have played all season and it must have done the lads' confidence no end of good."
Biddestone centre back Tim Tasker opened the scoring on Saturday, converting from the penalty spot after Ollie McAninch had been brought down.
Soon after McAninch himself scored his side's second goal with a well-struck shot from just outside the box.
Steve Healey made it three after McAninch put the Melksham defence under pressure and midway through the second half Will Edwards struck to complete the scoring.
Skidmore believes Trowbridge and Stratton are too far ahead to catch now but he thinks third place is a realistic target.
He said: "There is a long way to go and lots of games still to play. Hopefully we have had our bad patch now and we can get another run going.
"We need to look at finishing third and then hoping Trowbridge and Stratton slip up.
"The results were getting to the lads and hopefully Saturday's result will lift them."
Biddestone are home to Trowbridge Town tomorrow.
