CAT lovers are being urged to help a kitten walk again by paying to fix his knobbly knees.
Marble tabby cat Tiger Tim was rescued by Elizabeth Hibbs, of High Street, Heytesbury, a month ago, but when she took him to be neutered the vet diagnosed a problem with his back legs.
Both knees are permanently dislocated, causing walking problems.
Urgent surgery is now needed before the five-month-old kitten gets any older.
With help from the Cats Protection League and donations from cat lovers, Mrs Hibbs is hoping to raise £500 to fix the knobbly knees so Tiger Tim can have a healthy life.
She said: "He's such a friendly cat but we need to repair his legs before he gets any older.
"When I picked him up from a friend we both thought he was ill and might have been mistreated in the past.
"The vets told us they usually repair one leg at a time but if we can raise the full amount we could do both of them because he is still young."
Warminster vet Fran Terrill, of Garston Vet Group said: "It's a rare condition especially if it's present in both legs but the good news is that it is treatable with surgery."
Any donations should be made to the Tiger Tim's Knobbly Knees Appeal, Frome and District Cats Protection PO Box 3222, Frome, BA11 4XA.
