Employers risking fines

EMPLOYERS are risking a tribunal or crippling fines because they are not prepared for new health and safety legislation, according to new research.

In a recent poll by employment lawyers Peninsula 78 per cent of Wiltshire businesses said they did not feel confident they could comply with existing and new government rules on health and safety.

In response Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce has organised a Health and Safety Seminar at Cumberwell Park, Bradford on Avon to talk through the rules with employers so they can avoid legal liability.
