SWEP forum provides an opportunity to network

THE first South Wiltshire Economic Partnership open forum of 2004 will be held at the Medieval Hall in Salisbury on February 25.

The event will begin with a welcome and introduction by SWEP chairman Stephen Woodhouse, followed by presentations by Councillor Margaret Peach on Salisbury district council's economic development strategy, Peter Barefoot and Simon Kingsley of Alder King and Philip Holford of Myddelton & Major on current developments at Solstice Park in Amesbury, Chris Thorne of Tetricus on the Salisbury Research Triangle and developments at Porton Down, and Isobel Cockram of the Defence Diversification Agency on defence sector technology working with industry.

SWEP is a partnership between Salisbury district council and businesses, and the aim of each open forum is to give organisations the opportunity to share information about the work of the partnership, network and contribute to plans for the future.

The February forum begins at 4.30pm with registration and the presentations begin at 5pm, with refreshments served afterwards.
