Man, 29, arrested for hacking into services website

A MAN has been arrested after allegedly hacking into the Swindon-based Forces Reunited website.

The site, run by Dominic Hayhoe, operates along similar lines to the Friends Reunited site, which brings old schoolmates together.

Former service personnel can log on and find friends from their days in the armed forces.

Officers from Wiltshire Police's Hi-Tech Crime Unit went to an address in Chorley, Lancashire, armed with a warrant.

Spokeswoman Elizabeth Margin-son said: "The officers arrested a 29-year-old male found at that address in connection with the investigation into a hacking attack made against the Forces Reunited website.

"A number of computers were seized at the address, and these will be subject to examination.

"The man has been bailed for further enquiries and will be reporting to a police station in due course."

Forces Reunited has more than 150,000 subscribers.
