Good news from Reckitt

SWINDON household products maker Reckitt Benckiser is forecasting strong growth for this year after announcing record profits.

Operating profits rose by 25 per cent to £227 million during the fourth quarter, boosting annual operating profits to £679 million.

Bart Becht, its chief executive said: "Reckitt Benckiser did well in 2003.

"Particularly pleasing was the rate of net revenue growth, which was one of the strongest since the merger in 1999.

"For 2004 we are looking to continue our strong organic growth."
