Class C confusion

Police are warning users of cannabis that taking it is still illegal, despite reclassification of the drug to Class C.

Confusion over the new policy introduced in January has meant police fear many people believe they can smoke and sell the drug without being prosecuted. In most cases possession of cannabis will warrant a warning or confiscation of the drugs but supply and production remains illegal.
