Seminar looked at website law

THE latest seminar hosted by Cravenplan Computers, of Swallowcliffe, was held on Tuesday.

Entitled The Law And Your Website, the free one-hour seminar told delegates about the implications of the Electronic Commerce Regulations 2002, which came into force in 2002.

Chris Stanbury, managing director of Cravenplan Computers, invited a legal expert to pass on the vital points of the legislation.

The topics covered included to whom the law applies, essential information for a website, cancellation rights and penalties for non-compliance.

The next seminar, on surviving e-mail, will be held on March 11.
