A good Samaritan

I would like through your paper to thank a young lady who kindly helped me during the recent bad weather.

I was approaching the bus stops in Fleming Way on Thursday morning at 9.30am and while going up the slope I had difficulty in keeping on my feet while carrying a stack of shopping. The young lady saw that I was struggling so she stopped and asked me if I was OK. I said that I was, but she very kindly insisted on helping me by taking my arm, up the slope to the bus stop I required.

I am very unsteady on my feet in slippy weather, all be it I am only in my mid 50s, perhaps because I come from a flat area of the country and am not used to negotiating slopes in icy weather.

So once again to the young lady thank you.
