Firms ready to join forces to show Swindon cares

FEBRUARY 10: SOME of the biggest names in business will get together next month to launch this year's Swindon Cares appeal.

Last year, more than £15,000 was raised during the week-long extravaganza in July, which was backed by the Advertiser.

The cash went to three beneficiaries: Age Concern Swindon, Macmillan Cancer Relief and NSPCC Swindon.

Nationwide, Zurich and Swindon Council, which organised last year's events, are at the helm again.

They will use the official launch on March 12 at Swindon Town Football Club to outline their fund-raising plans, which will include an inter-company quiz and a speed-dating event.
