MARK Barnes scored a hat-trick as Devizes Town continued to get ready for the new season with a 5-2 win at Purton last night.
Anthony Hogg and Jamie McLaughlin were also on target for Justin Webster and Darran Walters' side as they saw off their Hellenic League opponents.
Devizes travel to Melksham Town on Saturday, who were also in action last night as they beat local rivals Warminster Town 3-0.
Calne Town were beaten 3-0 by Southern League Chippenham Town in their annual Fred Rutty Cup meeting.
Alan Griffin scored twice for Chippenham, with one coming from the penalty spot, whilst James Guthrie was also on target with a spot-kick.
