TRUST STFC have this morning thrown their weight behind Lee Power's tenure as owner of Swindon Town, following a difficult few months at the County Ground.

In a statement, the Trust applauded Power's open letter to fans for its "candour" and stressed that the supporters' group is keen to develop a full and thorough relationship with the Robins once again.

The statement reads: "The board of Trust STFC, meeting last night (3 July), confirmed its relief at and support for the High Court judgement delivered on Tuesday and is delighted at the clarity of the judge's comments.

"The past 18 months has been a nightmare of uncertainty and suspicion, relieved only by the great job done by players and coaching staff through the season. Responsibility for that situation is clearly identified in the judgement.

"The Supporters’ Trust warmly welcomed the letter from the Chairman of the club, addressed to supporters, refreshing in its candour and affirming that the support of the fan base is fundamental to the future of Swindon Town, and the passion of his commitment to seeing the club developed on firm foundations for the future.

"We now look forward to continuing to build on the existing positive and creative relationship with Lee Power and all involved in running the club and look forward to an exciting and successful season."
