10:37pm

Right, that's it for this evening.

The Robins aren't in action again until they visit Leicester next Saturday, but can they still make the play-offs?

10:35pm

Even Simon Gustafsson wasn't able to take too many positives from the meeting, despite scoring 12.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Simon Gustafsson will be given time by Robins' boss Alun Rossiter

SIMON GUSTAFSSON

"Not really for me because I screwed 15 up a little but so it's hard," he said.

"If you have a full house before 15 you should go and finish it, so I'm really disappointed."

10:33pm

Skipper Troy Batchelor is up next and made no excuses for tonight's loss, insisting the match should never have been in doubt going into heat 15.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Troy Batchelor

TROY BATCHELOR

"It looked good for a bit there and then they came back with the tac ride, then it went downhill.

"The track was pretty nice and we had a few 5-1s but this is speedway and you can't win them all.

"I gave 110 per cent but I couldn't save the meeting in heat 15. I've said it so many times though, it shouldn't come down to the last race to win or save the meeting."

10:29pm

Peter Kildemand admitted the track caused him a few issues this evening.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Robins' number one Peter Kildemand

PETER KILDEMAND

"It was hard, I started well and made some good starts. We all started good and I don't know what happened.

"It was like everyone fell asleep in the middle of the meeting and was really loose.

"I made two good starts and then two bad ones and that made it hard. It was really hard to pass tonight and slicker than normal."

What a disgrace to be 14 points up and then give the meeting away - Rossiter are you blinkered - time to ship out a few, new reserve wanted definitely, what excuse will you be giving us tonight - surely not the other team was better !!!!
I await your comment on tonight's match with baited breath

I assume the new reserve comment is directed at Greaves? Personally I think he's making real progress. Yes, it's slow progress and he's still finding things tough but there's definitely potential there. Just my opinion.

10:25pm

A little bit from Alun Rossiter here, who was as shocked as the rest of us following that loss.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Alun Rossiter looking pensive at Monday''s meet in Birmingham

ALUN ROSSITER

“I don’t know what happened, it was a complete and utter collapse,” he said.

“Nick had clutch trouble all night but found out what the problem was too late as usual, and Peter is riding in too many countries at the moment and is physically tired. A couple more points from him would have done for us but I’m not going to put the blame on him.

“I’m shell-shocked and I really don’t know how we lost.

9:13pm

FINAL SCORE: Swindon Robins 46 Wolverhampton Wolves 47

9:12pm

Heat 15: Pawlicki, Batchelor, Woffinden, Gustafsson;67.24 – 2-4 (46-47)

9:10pm

Here we go!

9:07pm

Gustafsson, Batchelor, Woffinden, Pawlicki in heat 15, with the Robins off two and four.

9:04pm

Gustafsson has to be in heat 15, surely. Wolves have pick of the gates.

9:04pm

A big, big heat 15 here. Didn't think we would be saying that 40 minutes ago.

9:03pm

Heat 14: Gustafsson, Proctor, Worrall, Jacobs; 67.27-  4-2 (44-43)
Gustafsson wins by half a straight to give the Robins the lead again.

8:57pm

Heat 13: Pawlicki, Woffinden, Batchelor, Kildemand;66.99 - 1-5 (40-41)
Oh dear. Wolves gate to a max. Both Robins get out of shape while chasing.

8:54pm

Heat 12 (re-run): Thorssell, Jacobs, Worrall, Greaves FX; 68.50 – 1-5 (39-36)
After a restart following Greaves’ visit to the fence, the Wolves dup get the better of Worrall as his machine dies on the last lap. He stutters over the line.

8:49pm

Greaves excluded.

8:46pm

Red lights on half way through heat 12. Greaves hit the fence but seems fine.

8:44pm

Worrall in for Bellego in heat 11.

8:43pm

Heat 11: Proctor, Morris, Batchelor, Woffinden; 66.98 – 3-3 (38-31)
Proctor gates well and holds off Morris for a surprise win. Woffinden poor.

8:33pm

The Robins will still win this meeting but Wolves are right back in the race for a point after that.

8:30pm

Heat 10: Pawlicki (tac), Wells, Kildemand, Bellego;67.08 – 1-8 (35-28)
Pawlicki wins in black and white as Kildemand can’t pass Wells.

8:26pm

Pawlicki goes in black and white in heat 10

8:25pm

Heat nine: Worrall, Greaves, Jacobs, Rose; 67.36 – 5-1 (34-20)
Two more gates and another max.

8:21pm

Heat eight: Gustafsson, Morris, Wells, Thorsell; 67.24 – 5-1 (29-19)
Gustafsson goes outside, Morris goes inside and it’s another Robins max. Gustafsson is flying!

8:16pm

Bit of delay for track grading, but it all looks pretty positive for the Robins at this stage. Six race winners out of seven so far.

8:12pm

Heat seven: Worrall,  Jacobs, Proctor, Bellego; 67.4 – 3-3 (24-18)
Ride of the night so far from Worrall as he goes around the outside of both Wolves in turns three and four to win.

8:08pm

Having struggled to beat fast track riders at the start of the season, Gustafsson just beat the world champ. Impressive stuff.

8:06pm

Heat six: Gustafsson, Woffinden, Morris, Pawlicki; 65.74 – 4-3 (21-15)
Great gate and a great ride as Gustafsson beats the world champion. Morris pushes Tai hard but can’t quite sneak past.

8:02pm

Heat five: Batchelor, Kildemand, Wells, Proctor; 66.18 – 5-1 (17-13)
Two great gates as the Robins take the lead.

7:59pm

Kildemand warned to stay still as heat five is stopped in the first corner.

7:53pm

Kildemand and Batchelor out in the next one against Wells and Proctor. The Robins will surely expect a maximum from this one. Surely.

7:50pm

Heat four: Gustafsson, Thorssell, Rose, Greaves; 66.30 – 3-3 (12-12)
Gustafsson makes a superb gate and leads to the flag to win by a mile. The Swede looked for his teammate in turn one and two but he was nowhere to be seen.

7:45pm

Heat three: Batchelor, Pawlicki, Wells, Morris R; 66.59 – 3-3 (6-6)
Robins gate on a 5-1 but Morris packs up and it’s another shared heat.

7:41pm

Heat two: Jacobs, Worrall, Greaves, Rose; 67.83 -  3-3 (6-6)
Wolves pair jump away from the gate but Worrall eventually moves from the back into second and Greaves pulls off a really good move to pass Rose.

7:37pm

Heat one: Kildemand, Woffinden, Thorssell, Bellego; 65.80  - 3-3 (3-3)
Kildemand gates ahead of Woffinden and holds him off coming out of turn two. Bellego chops Thorssell off in the first corner but the Wolves man gets him on the line.

7:34pm

At the tapes of heat one

7:07pm

We should have a pretty interesting meeting on our hands this evening.

Poor choice of guest costs us I am afraid. Two heat leaders, 11 points at home is the real problem.

I for one really enjoyed the meeting.. Obviously dissappointed with the outcome. Good performances from Simon, Steve. And Troy.. PK looked like he was struggling and Nick was unlucky to blow an engine when we were on a 5-1. Even Nathan is showing some potential. Sadly Bellego failed to trouble the scorer and it cost us dear. Good to see the Blunsdon crowd applaud the Wolves on their victory lap. Everyone except Morris 1, (that is assuming he actually goes to Speedway!)

Wolves came back well in this meeting but riders equipment let us down also I feel, Peter seems to be suffering most with below standard bikes to what we have been accustomed to and by his own standards and he has not looked quick enough or gating well in quite a few matches now. How on earth morris 1 can blame the reserve Greaves after 3 points plus two bonus tonight when he out scored his opposite number who only got a point is ridiculous and needs to look higher up the team. Better bikes left overseas from our top two riders is one area to look for a start. Poor guest in Bellego may be, but last time here everyone wanted to sign the guy so can't really put all the blame there. No for my money it is our top riders and possibly even the track that never gets watered again all match and always favors the away team and we seem to fade badly towards the end of meetings for some strange reason, track getting slick may be. Forget the play offs never going to happen this season and never was.

So Rosco is not putting any blame on PK - why not? 6 points from your number 1 is total rubbish when 8 points wins the meeting. If he is riding too much then get his priorities sorted out and if Swindon isn't no 1 then goodbye. How come Rosco can bad mouth Gustaffson and get rid of Klindt but Pk is above critisism?
