THE only fixture in Division Two saw all eyes focused on the bottom-of-the-table battle between Bradford United Reserves and already-relegated Bratton.

Bradford who needed to win all three of their remaining games prior to kick-off to beat the drop, boosted their hopes of staying in the division thanks to a resounding 11-0 victory over what was a very depleted Bratton side.

Bratton trailed 5-0 after just 17 minutes to goals from Mitchell Hamber, Tim Bruton, Dan Jones and a double from Kieran Powell.

With Bradford threatening to rub riot Bratton finally got themselves sorted and held their hosts for the remainder of the half and even had chances of their own to get back in the game.

Bratton were a much-improved side after the interval and Liam Griffiths missed three good chances to get his team on the scoresheet but failed to take any of them and once Kieran Powell bagged his third of the game and Bradford’s sixth it was little surprise that Bratton heads dropped and the goals started to flow again.

A second for Tim Bruton made it 7-0, Gavin Palmer’s own goal, Tim Meade’s single and a double from James Kellam completed what in the end was a romp for the hosts who just hope they can repeat their form against Westwood News on Tuesday evening.
