YASER Kasim is believed to have been called up to the Iraq squad for their clash with China on March 5.
The central midfielder has been a vital part of the Town side since arriving on a free transfer in the summer and was previously called upon by his national team for their game against Saudi Arabia on October 15 - but turned down the opportunity.
While neither Swindon Town or the Iraqi FA have been able to confirm the call-up, the Advertiser has been told he has been asked to play for his country in their Asian Cup qualifier in Dubai.
