A pop up bookshop is to open in Urchfont and the organisers are looking for volunteers to run it.
The shop will be in the former newsagent’s garage by the pond and will open on Tuesday at 10.30am.
Co-organiser Pat Cridland said it was hoped to open it three times a week, Tuesday mornings, Saturday and Sunday.
The idea for the pop up shop came following large donations of books for a summer fair and the sale of the books will raise money for refurbishment of Urchfont village hall.
The books cover all genres from fiction to non-fiction, educational books, autobiographies and children’s books. There are also some CDs, DVDs and LPs.
Alison Taylor, Sandra Johnston and Vivian Mottram helped clean up the garage, while a neighbour donated shelving.
Anyone able to volunteer should ring Mrs Cridland on 01380 840215 or Vivian Mottram on (01380) 840612.
