Visitors to a charity event in aid of a special school in Rowde will be able to meet some furry and fluffy friends.

Rowdeford Garden Fair is held in the grounds of Rowdeford School on Sunday and it will have specialist bedding plants, shrubs and herbs, tools and garden accessories, garden furniture, heritage seeds, live entertainment and food.

There will also be some rare breed sheep, goats, miniature horses, rabbits and the star of the show – sow Treacle and her 11 piglets.

Also in attendance will be the alpacas Clive, Raven and Boris who, together with all the other animals on view, belong to Dave Buscombe of Rowde-based company Dave & Ewe who bring their animals to schools and day centres.

Latchways of Devizes is sponsoring the ninth annual garden fair with Peter Vaughan of Devizes providing bistro-style lunches, Bromham WI serving afternoon teas and a Pimm’s tent and ice-creams.

Gates open at 11am and tickets are £4, while children under 16 enter free.
