Charges for room hire at Malmesbury Town Hall have been reduced and simplified.
The review of charges for rooms at the hall was one of the town council’s objectives at the last election.
Room hire costs have been cut by more than 50 per cent in some cases. Hire of Malting Hall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday is now £12 per hour, compared to £30 previously.
The community charge of £6 per hour for charitable and non-profit-making organisations in Malmesbury remains and there will be discounts for long-term bookings.
